The Lancaster County Plank Top Farm Table is our most popular table. It is actually one of the first pieces we started to offer and is made here in Pennsylvania. Most people get this table with a hand planed cherry wood top and a Antiqued black over red base. You do have a choice of getting a tiger maple wood top. One option I recommend getting is the joined top. With the joined top you will not get any gaps in between the boards. When we first started offering this table we thought it would look good with the gaps in between the boards. After selling this table for a short time we started getting calls about crumbs in between the boards. Point being get the joined top. This table can also be custom sized. For the price on the website you get up to 40in in width. Most people get a 38in with. The Lancaster Table Top can be done with a hand planed top, light hand planed top or smooth top. Most people get the hand planed cherry wood top. When the top is done in tiger maple they usually get the light hand planed or smooth top. The legs are mortised, tenoned and pinned into the apron of the table. This is a quality joint which makes the table very solid. The base is usually done in an Antiqued black over red painted finish but can be done in all black. You also have a choice of a cherry or tiger maple base. Depending on what options you choose affects the price.
Many people use this in a Country kitchen or dining room. Most customers use the bow back Windsor side chair on the sides of the table with the sack back Windsor armchairs on the ends. The fan back Windsor chairs are another popular option. You would have originally saw this table design as early as the 1820’s. It has a Country Sheraton design.
Most people pick up our tables at the showroom but can also be shipped.
